The feeling of inhaling can be duplicated by deep breathing. Most people will naturally do it to relax or to energise themselves.


Some like the taste of cigarettes. This can be difficult to duplicate, but the smell of brewing coffee and drinking strong coffee can at times match the burnt flavour of smoking.


The perceived relaxation of smoking is easily achieved by just taking time out to relax, perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea.


Using smokes to help you to think is again achieved by taking a few moments. In a past life I was a builder. My smoking friends would smoke while studying the plans and they claimed that it helped them to think. I achieved the same concentration by just reading the plans while having a snack.

Use The Easiest Way: Quit Smoking Now

The thing about the term "Easiest way quit smoking" is that 'easiest' could just mean, 'least hard,' as there are so many different methods, it makes sense that some are harder than others. However, I do believe there are easy ways to quit smoking, in fact I know this to be true, because I have used one of them successfully.


Before I came across the easy way, I of course did it the hard way. I tried using nicotine replacement products, such as inhalers, gum, etc, and while I had mixed success with them, I obviously never managed to quit. I think one week was my record.


I of course tried other methods too, cold-turkey, cutting down, hours of Googling and trawling websites to get different advice, different takes on smoking. I did the lot, writing a list of reasons to quit and keeping it in my wallet etc.


What frustrated me the most was that no matter how much I psyched myself up for quitting, no matter how much I actually wanted to quit, I would be more depressed within a day of quitting than I ever had been while smoking. It's amazing the hoops your brain's logic centre jumps through to try to justify you to keep smoking.


I soon realized that smoking was deep in my brain and not something that could be quit by using replacement products. I needed to address the psychological aspects, but wasn't really sure how to do this. Most websites out there just recommend products that deal with nicotine cravings, not psychology.


It was around this time that a friend introduced Allen Carr's book to me. I gave it a read since he himself had managed to quit smoking very easily (and had been a much more 'hardcore' smoker than me prior to that) and within the first few pages I knew that I was reading something different. For a start, he was dealing with psychology, and he was telling me how scare tactics don't work. In fact, he was dispelling many myths about smoking, things that I had known already but hadn't managed to realize myself until he pointed it out to me in his book and I thought "yeah, this is true!"


His writing style is not particularly difficult to read, and he is quite dogmatic and repetitive, which is exactly what the brain needs. The way his method works is, he fills your brain with fresh information about how easy it is to quit smoking, and how pointless smoking is, and dispells so many other things that we used to hold true about smoking, that by the time we have finished reading the book, we are essentially non-smokers already.


I'm a big believer that to quit smoking, one has to "reprogram" the mind, and this is not something done instantly (this explains why I would always quit with strong motivations, but in the long run, my brain was still wired to smoke) so reading a few hundred pages of a book, which is quite an entertaining read in itself, allows the brain to slowly change.

How To Quit Smoking When You're Pregnant And Unsure About Stopping

Pregnancy presents enough challenges as it is, there are any number of potential problems. If you want to know how to quit smoking when you are pregnant and unsure about stopping, the first thing you need to do is to get real about your situation. 2. You are fearful about quitting so you look for any excuse to continue. You may argue that the stress of quitting will be worse than smoking for your baby. That is just an excuse, it is simply not true. It's a load of rubbish. You may have already had a child and you smoked, or a friend smoked and their child is OK.


The question is, how will you, ever know what that child would have been like if you hadn't smoked, or perhaps it was just dumb luck that they arrived intact.


3. You are just plain stupid and pig ignorant. As I wrote this article I was angry having recently seen a newborn whose mother smoked. The effect was devastating and life long for this poor child. I had no intention of writing a soft gently convincing argument for quitting.


In the first two instances you can get help and by using hypnosis you will conquer smoking for good, sparing your child and yourself the terrible effects of smoking. In the third instance, good luck, I can only assume that if this is you, you won't bother to read this article anyway.
