As a non smoker one of the great mysteries is how someone can eat a fine meal and ruin it with a cigarette. Instead of savouring the taste of delicious food the only taste lingering on the tongue is the burnt cigarette after taste.
Recently my wife and I had dinner with three friends. After each course they all went outside for a cigarette. I watched them join other smokers and bond in the ritual of inhaling smoke and poisonous chemicals while freezing in the cold night air.
When they returned to the table they brought with them the stink of smoke. That was off putting enough but the thought of willingly inhaling the pollution seemed like madness.
Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. Everyone who smokes in a western country has seen and heard enough to know clearly what the consequences of smoking will be for them.
Yet it still surprises me so many people continue to smoke while either denying any problem exists or with no concern about the future. Some even think that the whole health scare is just a government plot of some kind.
If you are thinking like this then its time to great real or get some psychological help. I'm not here to be your friend, I'm here to encourage you to face the facts and save your own life.
Food tastes worse with smoking, alcohol, coffee and tea taste worse with smoking, you know that really, because no restaurant on the planet smokes their food with cigarette smoke. Because no one would be crazy enough to pay for it.
Look at your life, look at the areas in which you are doing well, making good decisions. What about your relationships, are they good or at least functional? Do you interact like a rational human being, do you behave well in public?
If so why are you acting insanely by continuing to smoke? You are not insane, you know the problems with smoking, so ignoring them is crazy, but again you are nor insane so you know that you need to quit smoking.
You can do it, using hypnosis you can come to terms with the reality of smoking, you can release your habitual connections and you can finally be free from the control of nicotine. So set your fear aside and take action.
